We are looking to hire Crusher Crew Labourer, to be based in Slave Lake, AB.

The Crusher Crew Labourer is required to assist the Crusher Crew with maintaining heavy equipment and crushing equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets while ensuring full compliance with all safety and operating procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures. Receive directions from site foreman regarding day-to-day operations and tasks. Pick up fallen rocks from the crusher area using a shovel. Cleaning up debris and disposing of it in a safe manner. Aid other workers on clean-up procedures, maintenance procedures, etc. Cleaning of area and yard. Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment. Placing the bucket (if applicable) in a safe manner when parked. Never overload the bucket. Park equipment in designated area. Walk around equipment to ensure equipment is not defective. Report any defects found on equipment. Ensure that the equipment is always kept clean inside; ensure there is no debris on the floor creating a hazard. Pre-& post inspection checks of the equipment. Maintain accurate records in equipment log. Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Quantity of fuel and fluids must be reported in the inspection log. Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment. Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment. Prepare and submit required daily reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Experience in operating heavy equipment and preferably crushing equipment. Experience working around aggregate crushing equipment, such as jaw, cone, and crushers, would be considered an asset. Familiarity with general maintenance practices of heavy equipment. Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to work a camp-based position on a 10 days on, 4 days off (10/4) schedule, consisting of 12-hour shifts.
