Education: College/CEGEP. Robotics technology/technician. Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician. Tasks: Create user manuals. Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials. Estimate costs and materials. Test machines and equipment. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Calibrate components and instruments. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Robotic process automation. Design manufacturing systems to optimize the use of computer networks, robots and materials. Computer and technology knowledge: Programmable logic controller (PLC). Welding techniques: Robotic equipment and systems. Area of specialization: Robotics or controls. Security and safety: Basic security clearance.
