About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Oil Burner Mechanic Whitehorse to join our team in Whitehorse, YT. This role may require travel throughout the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Northern BC.

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that heating systems function at their best. Your day-to-day will include the following tasks:

  • Install, service, and repair oil-burner related equipment and oil tanks.

  • Install control systems for heating systems.

  • Diagnose issues and identify repairs needed.

  • Perform maintenance and repair duties on oil/gas burning heating equipment including parts replacement.

  • Layout and assemble oil burner heating systems components.

  • Clean and overhaul oil burner and related equipment, and test to ensure all components function properly.

You will also help us stay organized by managing permits, completing inspection reports and service records, assisting with inventory and stock control, and taking on additional tasks as needed. Safety is a top priority, and you'll be expected to comply with all safety policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role:

  • You have your Oil Burner Mechanic license or Red Seal certification and are certified to work in the Yukon.

  • You bring experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial oil burners.

  • You have your own tools, and you keep them in great condition.

  • You’re dependable and you’re a self-starter – you show up to work on time and get the job done.

  • You work hard to build and maintain successful relationships.

  • Safety is not an afterthought – you have a history of working safely and making sure equipment is in the best working order possible.
