Role Overview: This role focuses on developing and maintaining macroeconomic models using EViews for a client in the technology sector. The work involves analyzing economic trends, forecasting scenarios, and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making. The role is critical for shaping policy and operational strategies based on robust data analysis.
Key Responsibilities: • Build, validate, and refine macroeconomic models in EViews to simulate policy impacts and economic scenarios. • Analyze historical and real-time economic data to identify trends and inform model assumptions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate model outputs into actionable insights for business or policy decisions. • Document methodologies, assumptions, and model limitations to ensure transparency and reproducibility. • Present findings to non-technical audiences in clear, structured formats, including written reports and presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proficiency in EViews software for time-series econometric modeling and forecasting. • Strong background in macroeconomics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field. • Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and interpretation of economic indicators. • Ability to write and debug custom scripts in EViews for model automation and scenario testing. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex economic concepts to diverse stakeholders.
