Xylem is currently searching for an Applications Engineer for our Oromocto office to serve our Water Solutions and Services Group. As an Applications Engineer, you would work with our experienced team in all phases of our wastewater treatment projects, with primary focus on the products of our membrane technologies group; covers and liners for tanks and lagoons for wastewater and water applications. Core Responsibilities and Tasks Monitor and review incoming inquiries for products. Requests may be from new customers or existing. Develop proposals for wastewater and water treatment applications Be responsible for coordinating with sales and business development team, senior process staff, CADD department, intercompany engineering and equipment sales teams, and cost estimators to generate overall proposal Proposal preparation duties include correspondence and discussions with prospective customer, reviewing customer specifications, selecting appropriate product, defining scope of supply, defining technology technical specifications, generate estimates and proposals. Assist with Xylem's marketing and business development activities Developing case studies and promotional material, coordinating and conducting sales presentations and site visits, attending and/or preparing technical papers for trade shows and conferences, etc. Position Requirements FORMAL EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: 0-3 years of experience in related field, e.g. construction, fabrication, engineering sales, and project management. Strong technical writing and communication skills Business development / marketing experience is an asset Proficient with MS Office Strong organizational and analytical skills Work as part of a team to complete project objectives Experience with wastewater treatment process is an asset Willing to travel (domestic and international) up to 30% of the year #LI-NP1 Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
