POSITION OVERVIEW
LN is currently seeking an Intermediate Surveyor to join our growing Edmonton Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is ideal for someone with solid construction surveying experience who enjoys working in the field, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to continue growing their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The Intermediate Surveyor will independently complete field survey assignments, provide technical support to projects, and assist with mentoring and supporting junior crew members while maintaining LN’s high standards for safety, quality, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILIES
- Perform construction, topographic, and as-built surveys
- Operate Trimble GPS, Total Stations, and related survey equipment
- Maintain accurate field notes and survey documentation
- Provide technical support to survey operations and projects
- Support and mentor junior survey crew members
- Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, and field teams
- Follow and promote all company and client HSE requirements
- Maintain survey equipment and vehicles in safe working condition
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3–5 years of construction surveying experience
- Experience with municipal, industrial, infrastructure, or pipeline projects considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment
- Experience using Trimble Business Center (TBC) considered an asset
- Geomatics Technician diploma or equivalent experience considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- CSTS/WHMIS, First Aid, and H2S Alive certifications required (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Work Conditions
This is primarily a field-based position working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions. Candidates must be physically fit and comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments.
