About the role
Job Summary Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Diagnose issues, perform installations and testing, and ensure all work meets applicable codes and safety standards. Number of Positions 6 Main Duties Install, assemble, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and related plumbing equipment for water, waste, and gas systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing malfunctions, perform repairs or replacements, and test systems for leaks and proper operation. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building code requirements to determine installation and repair procedures. Perform pressure tests, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure system integrity and longevity. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to schedule work, obtain materials, and communicate project status. Maintain tools and equipment, keep accurate work records, and complete required job documentation. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or formal trade training, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum two years of hands-on experience installing and repairing plumbing systems in residential or commercial environments. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and apply relevant building code requirements. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform manual tasks safely. Strong commitment to workplace safety, use of personal protective equipment, and hazard awareness. Required Skills Pipe fitting and installation techniques for common materials (copper, PVC, PEX). Soldering, brazing, and other joining methods for plumbing applications. Diagnostic troubleshooting and leak detection using appropriate tools and methods. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members. Time management and organizational skills for job planning, prioritization, and documentation.
