We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Maintenance Specialist. This position reports to Plant Manager, Machining and will work in Vancouver, BC.

Dometic Marine's headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic and combustion- based products.
About The Position
As Maintenance Specialist of the Vancouver team, you will be responsible to ensure the continued operation of all in-house designed and purchased production test, assembly and other equipment and devices.
Your Main Responsibilities
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment to the component level. Provide advice and feedback on corrective actions. Conduct tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality and performance of equipment and devices. Inspect equipment, structures and materials to identify the cause of errors or defects. Service, repair, rework and calibrate equipment to meet operational specifications and tolerances. Review blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, pneumatic diagrams, PLC ladder diagrams and technical orders to determine method and sequence of operation and assembly. Install equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet required specifications. Use test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters and meggers to test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies. Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimension and clearance of parts to ensure conformance of fit and specifications. Works on day, afternoon or night shifts as required.

A suitable background would have the following qualifications and experiences:
Minimum 3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance in a manufacturing/production environment. Diploma in Mechatronics or similar would be considered an asset. Canadian Red Seal Industrial Electrician and/or Millwright would be considered an asset. A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving ability. Strong and consistent sense of urgency. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks. Ability to work well under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledgeable with all aspects of custom equipment including mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and sensor technologies. Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
