We’re hiring 50 Gas Compression Technicians to support our expanding operations. If you have CAT G3600 experience and are interested in 14x14 remote work, this opportunity in Fort St John is for you! You’ll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines—both in the shop and out in the field—leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include: Field diagnosis and running repairs Largescale overhauls and rebuilds Component replacements Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication Qualifications: Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Millwright and Automotive also accepted) Minimum 2 years experience as a Journeyman Technician CAT G3600 experience is essential Previous CAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components 2 years experience on gas engines and compressors 2 years experience operating a service truck Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills Important Details: A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
