Position Name – DevOps Engineer Type of hiring – Fulltime/Subcon Location – Brampton, ON (4 Days onsite)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and other cloud platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, automation, and environment consistency. Build, maintain, and support CI/CD platforms and pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. Manage SonarQube administration, patching, upgrades, and code quality governance. Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks. Implement and enforce branching strategies, code review processes, and DevOps best practices. Automate deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance. Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures. Mentor team members and promote DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement practices.

Mandatory Skills Strong DevOps experience with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision. Hands-on experience with GitHub Operations, version control, branching strategies, and pull request workflows. Expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) pipeline orchestration and CI/CD implementation. Experience migrating CI/CD pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions. Strong knowledge of Helm for microservices deployment and configuration management using YAML. Hands-on experience with Akamai NetStorage for front-end deployments (mandatory). Experience deploying and managing backend applications on Kubernetes. Proficiency with Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management.

Nice-to-Have Skills General knowledge of Spring Boot and React applications. Experience with GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Dynatrace, and CI/CD best practices. Knowledge of build automation, testing, and deployment strategies. Strong understanding of Linux, networking, web protocols, encryption, and secure communication practices. Familiarity with PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, MSSQL, Sonatype, and observability tools such as Dynatrace. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
