About Red Chris
Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris currently operates as an open-pit copper and gold mine with a promising future to transition to a high-value underground block cave operation. Your impact
Drive safe, reliable and cost-effective processing operations by optimizing plant performance, improving recovery and throughput, and building a high-performing team that consistently delivers production targets.
As part of our team you will
Lead visible safety practices and ensure compliance with all HSE standards Oversee crushers, mills, conveyors and flotation systems to maximize performance Coach and develop supervisors, building capability and accountability Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Improve KPIs through continuous improvement and daily performance review Partner with maintenance and support teams to align production and budgets Manage costs, track variances and identify efficiency opportunities
Prerequisites for your success in this role
Proven leadership experience in processing or mining operations Strong understanding of mineral processing, especially flotation Ability to analyze data, solve problems and drive continuous improvement Experience leading safety initiatives and incident investigations Effective communication, team development and stakeholder management skills Budget awareness and operational discipline
Your work environment
Site-based role within a remote mining operation Rotational/FIFO schedule with a focus on team leadership in the field Fast-paced, safety-critical environment with cross-functional collaboration Hands-on leadership with accountability for plant performance and people development

The expected salary range for this role is CA$148,900 - 198,500 with an additional 25% Short Term Incentive. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
