Perform routine maintenance on equipment and the processing facility.
Maintain a log of operational hours for all equipment (Where available) & spare parts used during repair.
Troubleshoot machine/equipment failures and/or breakdowns.
Ensure processing equipment operates in compliance with employee and food safety requirements.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly premises inspection of the production facility, work with Maintenance Manager to prioritize repairs.
Responsible for equipment changeover between species
Provide support in new equipment installation, calibration, startup, and cleaning processes. Includes additional training to plant supervisors and/or operators as required.
Recognize and seek to remedy gaps in efficiency where modifications on equipment or existing processing tools may need to be made.
