About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Supervise other workers. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Punctuality.
