About the role
We are seeking an experienced AV / Meeting Room Designer to join our team, with a specific focus on designing modern Microsoft Teams Rooms–enabled spaces. In this role, you will design end‑to‑end meeting room solutions that combine Microsoft Teams, Crestron‑based collaboration hardware, and modern AV technologies to deliver consistent, intuitive meeting experiences for our clients.
This is a design‑focused role, centered exclusively on meeting rooms — from huddle spaces to executive boardrooms — and does not include general AV or digital signage design.
What You’ll Do
- Design Microsoft Teams Rooms–based meeting spaces, including room layouts, signal flow, and device selection.
- Create detailed AV designs using Crestron collaboration hardware, including cameras, control systems, DSPs, displays, and peripherals.
- Assess client meeting room requirements and recommend standardized, scalable room designs.
- Produce comprehensive design documentation including system diagrams, equipment lists, room layouts, signal flow, and as‑built documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, installers, vendors, and internal technical teams.
- Ensure all designs align with Microsoft Teams Rooms best practices and manufacturer standards.
- Support installations as a design resource, including escalations and design clarification.
- Stay current with Teams Rooms updates, AV standards, and collaboration technology trends.
- Provide design‑level guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
What You’ll Need (Required)
- Proven experience designing meeting room AV systems (not general AV), with hands‑on experience in Microsoft Teams Rooms environments.
- Strong knowledge of Crestron and other collaboration hardware and room ecosystems.
- Experience designing room systems including cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, DSPs, room control systems, and touch and scheduling panels.
- Experience creating professional design documentation and translating customer requirements into clear, supportable technical designs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
