What you will be doing The Inside Technical Support Specialist will be based out of the Automation Group and will be responsible for providing customers technical and commercial support for all Automation products and services. Mainly Rockwell Automation but not limited to other third-party Automation products or services.
TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES Provide customer quotations and system configurations or bills of material as required. Provide sales and technical support for and Rockwell Automation products and service solution including and not limited PLCs, Drives, Operator Interfaces, Motion Controllers, and software (Servers, Logic, Process, Visualization and Information). Knowledge of Process Control Instrumentation and Control valves Ability to read and understand technical information ex. Wiring diagrams, PID drawings, Single line drawings Strong commination skills dealing with Technical Engineering customers and procurement personnel Utilize tools such as JD Edwards, SAP, Seismic, I.A.B and other technical documents to address customers questions and assist with Automation solutions Provide support for the Automation Account Specialists, Industrial Account Managers and Automation support for Branches. Scheduling service tech from Vendors or Gerrie Technicians Provide exception customer experience Assisting Rockwell branch Sales resources Coordinate Repair & Exchange of defective Automation Products
PROBLEM SOLVING Suggest alternate solutions when product availability is inadequate Be able to recommend creative solutions to various issues that may arise.
CUSTOMER SERVICE/COMMUNICATION Communicate technical information effectively written or verbally Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with vendors and service providers.

What you bring to the table Minimum graduate of a 2-year technician or 3 year electrical/electronic/computer technology or Engineering program which emphasizes automation and control systems or equivalent Some experience with Sales or Customer Service. A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required Previous technical sales would be an asset Sound knowledge of Automation solutions, process, Information systems and service solutions
