POSITION: CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST Location: Regina Saskatchewan Position Overview: Build your Career with CFI Engineering CFI Engineering is a growing and dynamic consulting firm, and we’re looking for a Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team. Industry experience is an asset, however, we are committed to helping the right person develop and succeed. At CFI, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from land development, storm water management and underground utilities to structural design and building systems (wood, steel, concrete and masonry). You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, technologists and project managers in a fast-paced environment where professional growth and team work is valued.
Responsibilities: · Collaborate with engineers, technologists and projects managers to develop civil engineering designs and specifications. · Prepare technical drawings, plans and supporting documentation. · Assist with field inspections, testing and data collection. · Provide technical support during construction and installation activities. · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. · Maintain project documentation and records. Including but not limited to; change management, risk analysis, schedule management etc. · Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies and best practices. · Be able to assist with structural drawings would be considered an asset. · Work within a team environment, as well as independently.
Qualifications: · Experience is an asset in the related field with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma or related education. · Experience in a consulting or engineering environment is an asset, but not required. CFI is willing to train the right candidate. · Registration with APEGS or another recognized professional organization is considered a strong asset. · Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD. · Experience with REVIT is considered an asset. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is an asset. · Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. · A willingness to lean and grow professionally. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively. · A valid drivers license.
