THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a strategic and transformational technology and data leader to join IGM Financial as Vice President, Data & Integration Platforms. This newly created leadership role will be responsible for defining, governing, modernizing, and evolving IGM’s enterprise data and integration ecosystem as part of the organization’s transition to a product-based delivery model.
Reporting to the SVP, Head of Business & Data Platforms, the VP, Data & Integration Platforms will lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, adoption, and operational excellence of enterprise data and integration capabilities across portfolios and platforms. This role is accountable not only for enabling platform capabilities, but for driving measurable enterprise adoption and business value realization across pods and portfolios. This leader will play a critical role in enabling business outcomes through scalable data platforms, reusable integration capabilities, enterprise governance, and modern data management practices.
The role operates at the center of a complex, federated ecosystem, leading cross-platform alignment and resolving enterprise-level trade-offs across speed, risk, cost, and modernization priorities, while shaping IGM’s future AI-ready data foundation through the evolution of enterprise platforms and operating practices to support intelligent automation, agentic AI, enterprise copilots, advanced analytics, and scalable AI-enabled workflows.
Operating within a federated delivery model, the role will partner closely with distributed data and engineering pods across the technology organization to establish, govern, and continuously improve enterprise standards, integration patterns, data quality practices, and reusable platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Platform Ownership & Adoption
Define and execute the enterprise vision, strategy, and roadmap for data and integration platforms aligned with business outcomes. Own platform vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities. Drive adoption of reusable APIs, shared data services, metadata standards, and governance practices. Own and drive measure adoption of enterprise data and integration platforms across portfolios and pods, including defining and tracking success metrics (eg. reuse, onboarding, API consumption).
Data & Integration Governance / Quality / Interoperability
Own enterprise-wide data and integration governance standards, quality controls, and operating practices. Ensure enterprise data quality, accessibility, interoperability, and standardization across all platforms to support analytics, AI, and business decision-making. Oversee platform performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. Ensure data and integration platform standards align with enterprise regulatory requirements, data governance policies, and incident response protocols.
Delivery, Modernization & Trade-Off Leadership
Lead modernization of enterprise data and integration capabilities to support AI-enabled and product-oriented delivery. Balance delivery velocity with governance, risk management, and platform stability, making explicit trade-offs between speed, control, cost, and modernization priorities. Own enterprise-level decisions related to technical debt prioritization, cost optimization, and platform investment trade-offs.
Enterprise Partnership & Dependency Management
Partner with business, technology, architecture, infrastructure, security, and AI & Value Delivery teams to align priorities and delivery outcomes.
Ready Data Foundations
Build and evolve enterprise capabilities supporting AI-ready architectures, intelligent automation, semantic enablement, and agentic AI capabilities. Partner with AI & Value Delivery to align data platform evolution with emerging AI, analytics, and automation demands, including identification of resulting technical debt, cost, and risk implications.
Leadership & Platform Accountability
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing technical leaders and platform specialists across the Data & Integration platform. Own platform capacity planning, including workforce strategy, resource allocation across pods, and capability development aligned to enterprise demand.

Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related discipline or equivalent experience. 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data, integration, platform engineering, or technology delivery roles. Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data and integration platforms within complex, highly regulated environments. Deep expertise in enterprise data management, integration architecture, governance, APIs, metadata management, and operational practices. Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise trade-offs across risk, cost, delivery velocity, and modernization in a federated operating model. Experience driving platform adoption and influencing distributed engineering teams without direct authority. Strong understanding of cloud-native data technologies, event-driven architectures, platform engineering, and enterprise data ecosystems. Experience modernizing enterprise data platforms to support AI-enabled capabilities and intelligent automation. Knowledge of emerging technologies including agentic AI, generative AI orchestration, enterprise copilots, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled platform capabilities. Proven success leading transformation initiatives and federated operating models. Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
