Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plumber to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey?s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Install, repair and maintain commercial and residential plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Test facilities for leaks.
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
- Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
- Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.).
- Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met.
- Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other maintenance workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship.
- Proven Plumbing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work together as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g. Building Maintenance Workers, Labourers etc.).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects.
- Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Valid plumbing and gas fitting tickets.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
- Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
