Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey?s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Install, repair and maintain commercial and residential plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Test facilities for leaks.
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.).
• Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met.
• Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other maintenance workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship.
• Proven Plumbing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work together as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g. Building Maintenance Workers, Labourers etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects.
• Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Valid plumbing and gas fitting tickets.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
• Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
