On behalf of our client, PRO-DENT Laboratory, The Warrington Group is recruiting for an Orthodontic Appliance Technician to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

As their laboratory continues to grow, they are seeking an Orthodontic Appliance Technician to join their specialized orthodontic team.
The Opportunity: This is a hands-on role focused on the fabrication of custom orthodontic appliances. You will work alongside an experienced team to produce detailed, high-quality work using a combination of traditional and modern techniques with specialized tools.
The position requires excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical, craft-based work and wants to be part of a stable and growing laboratory.
Candidates with previous orthodontic laboratory experience are encouraged to apply. However, individuals with strong hands-on technical skills, a high level of precision, and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
The Ideal Candidate: You have experience working in a dental laboratory environment and are comfortable working with wires, acrylics, and appliance fabrication. You take pride in precision work and enjoy creating highly detailed products that require patience, focus, and craftsmanship.
You are reliable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Individuals from other highly skilled trades or technical backgrounds who possess exceptional manual dexterity and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a dental laboratory, specifically within orthodontics, and is confident in working with wires, acrylics, and appliance fabrication. You take pride in precision work and are comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. Candidates with strong hands-on skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
Responsibilities: Fabricate orthodontic appliances including retainers, bite planes and a variety of fixed removable and functional appliances Perform wire bending and soldering Work with both fixed and removable orthodontic appliances including hyrax and lingual arches, hawley and essix retainers and twin blocks Manipulate acrylic materials and assemble appliance components Follow detailed prescriptions and lab instructions Maintain quality control and ensure accuracy of finished products Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines
Requirements Previous experience working in a dental laboratory environment is preferred Experience with wire bending, soldering, acrylic application, and finishing fixed or removable appliances is considered an asset Strong manual dexterity and exceptional attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production environment Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to work independently Reliable, organized, and receptive to feedback and direction Candidates from jewellery making, watch repair, precision metal work, orthotics and prosthetics, or other highly detailed hands-on trades may also be considered
Benefits $28–$33 per hour, based on experience Full-time, 40 hours per week Overtime opportunities available Health benefits offered after probation Vacation: 2 weeks annually Relocation support available for the right candidate On-site role based in Halifax, Nova Scotia
