About the role
Overview Kinetic Energies Inc. is seeking motivated and safety-focused Welders to join our team supporting pipeline, facility, fabrication, maintenance, and turnaround projects throughout Alberta and surrounding areas. The successful candidates will be responsible for completing high-quality welding work in accordance with applicable codes, client specifications, and company quality and safety standards.
This position requires individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a crew in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding activities in accordance with approved WPS procedures and project specifications
- Read and interpret drawings, spool sheets, and isometrics
- Complete fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance welding scopes
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Conduct proper equipment inspections and maintain welding equipment
- Work closely with supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and other trades
- Maintain accurate weld identification and traceability requirements
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and safety programs
- Support general shop and field activities as required
Experience
- Valid welding certifications/tickets applicable to scope
- Experience in pipeline, facility, or fabrication welding preferred
- Ability to pass required weld testing
- Strong understanding of safety and quality requirements
- Valid safety tickets considered an asset (H2S, First Aid, CSTS/CSO, etc.)
- Ability to work overtime, shift work, and out-of-town projects as required
