About the role

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will utilize a wide range of tools and technical knowledge to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. A background in dealership service, heavy equipment operation, or industrial machinery is highly desirable. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy machinery using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
  • Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial machinery as needed
  • Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues
  • Utilize welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural adjustments
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed
  • Assist in the assembly of mechanical components or systems during repair or installation projects

Experience

  • Prior dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant experience in automotive repair is essential
  • Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, or heavy industrial equipment is a plus
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including electrical components and schematics
  • Experience operating power tools and performing heavy lifting safely
  • Background in welding, maintenance work, or industrial equipment operation is advantageous
  • Mechanic experience with a focus on automotive repair or heavy machinery is highly valued
  • Customer service skills are important for communicating effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs

This role requires a motivated individual with strong mechanical skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
