Journeyman Autobody Painter ? Fat Dog Automotive (Edmonton, AB)

Fat Dog Automotive is growing and we are looking for an experienced Journeyman Autobody Painter to join our team immediately.

We are a busy, family-owned shop handling everything in-house including collision repair, mechanical, diagnostics, vehicle sales, and insurance work. We are consistently booked and looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and wants long-term stability with plenty of hours available.

What you?ll be doing:

• Complete prep, paint, and refinishing work to factory standards
• Mix and match paint accurately
• Perform seamless blends and colour matching
• Prime, block, prep, paint, and clear coat vehicles and panels
• Repair and refinish collision-damaged vehicles
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Use Mitchell 1 estimating/repair software for repair workflow and documentation
• Work with the team to ensure repairs are completed properly and on time

Requirements:

• Certified Journeyman Autobody Painter preferred
• Minimum 5+ years experience in autobody and refinishing
• Experience with metallics, pearls, tri-stage colours, and blending panels
• Experience using Mitchell 1 software required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and reliable attendance
