About the role
Job Overview We are seeking an electrical apprentice to join our team building industrial control panels in a shop environment. This position focuses on panel layout, component installation, and detailed wiring work. It is ideal for someone who enjoys precision, organization and hands-on assembly rather than field installation.
Key Responsibilities:

assemble and wire industrial control panels from schematics and drawings

mount and lay out components including PLC's, relays, contactors, power supplies and terminal blocks

perform point-to-point wiring, labeling and cable management

drill, tap and prepare enclosures and backplates
-
verify wiring accuracy and assist with testing and quality control

keep work areas clean, organized and efficient
Requirements:
-
registered electrical apprentice
-
ability to read or learn electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

strong attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate work

good mechanical skills and adept at using basic shop tools

reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team

previous panel building or assembly experience an asset

familiarity with PLC's or industrial components an asset

experience with labeling systems or wire numbering an asset
