Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Chemistry Expert (PhD) to work on a contractual basis. This role involves designing, executing, and analyzing chemical experiments to develop new algorithms or improve existing models in computational chemistry. The work directly supports advancements in drug discovery, materials science, or chemical engineering applications within an AI-driven research environment. Precision in experimental design and data interpretation is essential to ensure model accuracy and relevance.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and conduct chemical experiments to generate high-quality data for computational modeling. • Analyze experimental results and integrate findings into existing chemical datasets for algorithm training. • Collaborate with AI teams to translate chemical insights into structured data inputs for machine learning pipelines. • Validate model outputs against experimental benchmarks to ensure chemical plausibility and accuracy. • Document methodologies, results, and limitations in technical reports for internal review and stakeholder updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications: • PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computational or experimental chemistry. • Hands-on experience in laboratory techniques relevant to the synthesis or analysis of organic or inorganic compounds. • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB for processing experimental and computational chemistry data. • Familiarity with chemical informatics tools, cheminformatics libraries, or molecular modeling software. • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex chemical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
