The Import Procurement Manager is responsible for the operational management of local procurement, import, and logistics activities. As a key member of the operations team, the Procurement and Logistics Manager develops and implements procurement strategies aimed at ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness. In addition, the Manager works closely with manufacturers to develop new products specifically designed for the Quebec and Canadian markets.

The Import Procurement Manager is responsible for the operational management of local procurement, import, and logistics activities. As a key member of the operations team, the Procurement and Logistics Manager develops and implements procurement strategies aimed at ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness. In addition, the Manager works closely with manufacturers to develop new products specifically designed for the Quebec and Canadian markets.
What you’ll do
Key Responsibilities: - Purchase goods, general and specialized equipment, materials, and commercial services. Ensure the procurement of complementary materials required for product marketing and operational needs, such as labels, fasteners, hardware, and other related purchases. - Negotiate supplier quotations and agreements. Stay informed of all relevant logistics-related information, including strikes, geopolitical conflicts, and fluctuations in raw material prices (copper, lithium, etc.). Liaise with suppliers, including international suppliers, and oversee the customs clearance process while ensuring proper follow-up. - Review quotations and proposals. - Determine contract terms and conditions. - Establish delivery schedules. - Monitor the execution of delivery schedules. Track and analyze projected volumes against guaranteed volumes and communicate relevant information to senior management. - Plan, organize, and monitor the organization's logistics operations. - Monitor import activities through logistics platforms and ensure that estimated arrival dates are properly communicated to warehouses and the sales team. - Perform internal verification and compliance checks.
