Job details
Licensed HVAC/R Technician – Commercial & Residential Systems Senior HVAC/R technician wanted to install, service, and repair commercial and residential systems — full benefits, real autonomy. What makes this one worth a look We're looking for a licensed HVAC/R technician who's ready to work independently and be trusted with it. This isn't a role where you're handed a checklist and watched all day — you'll manage your own workload, make the calls in the field, and bring your full expertise to every job, from a straightforward install to a 6pm emergency call. The work spans both commercial and residential systems, so you'll get variety instead of doing the same job on repeat. One day you're installing a new system, the next you're diagnosing a tricky repair or running preventative maintenance. Why this role stands out It's built specifically around autonomy for a senior journeyman, not a revolving door for entry-level techs. You won't be micromanaged, you'll get a mix of commercial and residential exposure to keep your skills sharp, and the schedule is genuinely predictable — weekends only when needed, not baked into every week. What You'll Be Doing Installing new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and residential clients Diagnosing issues and completing repairs and equipment replacements Keeping systems running smoothly through routine preventative maintenance Being the technician clients call on for emergency service, and delivering under pressure Following safety policies and procedures on every job What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience across commercial and residential systems A valid 313A Certificate of Qualification A valid Gas Technician license (G1, or minimum G2) A valid Ontario G class driver's license with a clean driving record Comfort reading and working from HVAC wiring diagrams Strong customer service instincts and clear written reporting The physical stamina for hands-on trade work Sharp problem-solving and critical thinking under pressure Clear oral and written communication Compensation & Benefits Competitive wages based on experience, plus overtime pay. Benefits include dental care, extended health care, and vision care.
