Your Opportunity: Description: Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Classification: Medical Radiation Tech I Union: COV HSAA PROF TECH Unit and Program: DI Primary Location: Grey Nuns Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 11-SEP-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp F/T Benefits Date Available: 21-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 07-SEP-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 60 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.74 Maximum Salary: $51.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Currently, competency demonstrated in all General radiographic exams. Demonstrated awareness and competency in adaptive radiographic techniques. Currently, demonstrated competency in the scanning of basic CT exams. Must possess a high degree of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to be able to work within existing, clearly defined policies and procedures. Proven ability to work under pressure within a team in emergency situations. Experienced and committed to providing high-quality student teaching and preceptorship. Involved in x-ray emitting procedures requiring the donning of lead apparel weighing up to 9.5kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting within the perimeter of a radiation field. Must have current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologist and be legally able to work in Canada. Qualified CLXT candidates may be considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: experience with PEI.

Exigences
Must be a graduate of a Radiological Technology program with active registration with the ACMDTT and BLS Level C certification. Requires demonstrated competency in general radiographic exams and basic CT scanning.
