Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Millwrights to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. We offer day, evening, and weekend day shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities: Journeyman and Apprentices: * Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. * Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools. * Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery. * Inspect and examine machinery and equipment proper completion and to ensure work completed error free. * Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment. Apprentice-specific: * Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion. * Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program. Qualifications: Journeyman-level: * Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document. * 1-2 years of directly related work experience. * This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices. Apprentice-level: * Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or * Be a registered apprentice. * Motivated and willing to learn. **As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement. Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent for the Journeyman level, or be a registered apprentice. Applicants are expected to be motivated, willing to learn, and capable of working with hand and power tools.
