Position Information This is a corporate position with a home base of the Civic Campus. Rotation to other campuses will be required. Rotation/Shifts Days, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00) For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change. Basic Requirements Diploma from a recognized Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Program; Registered with BRETC (Board of Registration of EMG Technologists of Canada). OR eligible for registration Good knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, infection control, basic electronics and electrical safety; Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications; Good written and verbal communication skills; Good interpersonal skills; Sound judgement and problem solving skills; Ability to work independently; Eligible to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications Past experience or training in EMG; Registration with BRETC (Board of Registration of EMG Technologists of Canada) preferred Degree in Kinesiology, Life Sciences, Neurosciences may also be considered Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced). The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position at the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.
