Job Code: 26829 Status: Full Time Location: Providence Care Hospital Union: OPSEU 4104 Paramedical Wage: $30.49 - $35.15/hr Posting Period: September 5, 2026 - September 11, 2026 The Medical Laboratory Technician is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient collection of client specimens from the point of initial contact with the client to data entry, phlebotomy, and to the final preparation of specimens for transportation. These procedures do not require interpretation assessment or the exercise of independent judgment. The procedures are performed under the direct supervision of the Medical Laboratory Technologist. Responsible for the safe and accurate collection of client specimens, including phlebotomy and data entry. Coordinates the referral of samples to licensed laboratories and supports Point of Care Testing programs.

Must be a graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistants/Technician training program with experience in phlebotomy. Experience working with elderly clients and individuals with disabilities is considered an asset.
