9-1-1 RADIO SYSTEM TECHNICIAN (Permanent, Full-time) NATURE OF POSITION: Hiring one (1) permanent, full-time 9-1-1 Radio System Technician in the Public Safety Services department. Working under the general supervision of the 9-1-1 Radio System Technologist/ Coordinator, the 9-1-1 Radio System Technician provides technical expertise on E9-1-1 telephone and centralized fire/rescue dispatch and communication systems. The work is primarily project oriented and requires attention to detail and good organizational skills. The 9-1-1 Radio System Technician provides supervision to service contractors. Evening and weekend work may be required. RATE OF PAY: $44.51 per hour (January 1, 2026 rate) DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: As set out in the job description. BENEFITS: In accordance with the Collective Agreement with C.U.P.E. Local 1699. This is a Union position.
