This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and interacting directly with residents. Your New Role Reporting to the Property Management team, the Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of a residential property. You will be responsible for responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, completing repairs, supporting suite turnovers, and ensuring building systems and common areas are maintained to a high standard. You will work closely with residents, contractors, and site staff to deliver a safe, clean, and positive living environment. Key Responsibilities Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and cabinetry issues. Conduct routine inspections of building systems, common areas, amenity spaces, and equipment. Identify maintenance deficiencies and ensure issues are addressed or escalated appropriately. Complete suite turnovers, including repairs, fixture replacements, inspections, and move-in readiness activities. Coordinate and oversee external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to expected quality standards. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, service requests, and outstanding repairs. Assist with inventory tracking, maintenance supplies, purchase orders, and vendor follow-up. Support health and safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Collaborate with property management staff to deliver an exceptional resident experience. What You'll Need to Succeed High school diploma or equivalent. Hands-on experience performing building maintenance and repairs within residential, commercial, hospitality, or related environments. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. Strong customer service and communication skills with a resident-focused approach. Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and recommend practical solutions. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Availability to work flexible hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, and prolonged standing or walking. Nice to Have College diploma, apprenticeship training, or trade certification in a related discipline. Experience within residential rental, multi-family, condominium, or property management environments. Familiarity with maintenance management, work order, or resident communication systems. Experience coordinating external vendors and service providers. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance requirements.
